Choosing an executor, trustee or other fiduciary can be difficult and many families struggle with this. Traditional choices such as family, friends, other advisors (attorneys, accountants, etc.), and corporate trustees are common options, but all are generally are imperfect. We approach a fiduciary role differently. We put the needs of the Estate/Trust and beneficiaries first, avoid all conflicts and advise independently and objectively. When engaged as a fiduciary we work closely and proactively with the beneficiaries, committees, grantor(s) and other trust advisors and remain current on changes in laws, taxes, regulations, planning and family matters that might impact the Trust.
